Biking with the boys

Now that it is warm out my family is lot more active outside. This year I am starting to go on bike rides and pulling my two boys. It might look smooth and easy, but it is not.

Together they weigh over 50lbs and pulling that is not easy. Any little incline feels like a mountain lol. I can’t go very far yet, but even the little ways I go I know I burning some calories and I feel the burn in my legs.

My hope in about a month is to get them to the park and back and hopefully not die trying :-).

I am trying to do this 3 times a week depending on weather.

This is just another step in trying to be healthy, I don’t expect to lose a lot of weight. I just want to be more healthy and enjoy the outdoors with my children.

Strawberry shortcake dessert smoothie

I am all about smoothies and mostly green healthy smoothies, but I had a bit of a sweet tooth and wanted to try something new.

I use an ultrabullet so the measurements are not the same.

1 cup of frozen strawberries

1 banana

1/2 cup of whip cream

1 tablespoon of flaxseed meal

Then water to the line on the bullet. Then mix until smooth and you got a sweet summer treat!

It is not too unhealthy but with the whip cream kind of throws it off, I’m sure you can use Greek yogurt and raw honey to get the same sweetness, but I was looking to use up the whip cream.

Flaxseed meal is amazing healthy for you and the fruit is too, so I don’t feel too bad.

If you wonder why two straws? My Little C loves to share smoothies with me and it is not the same if he has his own cup.

I will be definitely making this again!
